We made time to work on our plans this weekend! While the bid set is not finished, we are much closer to our goal. That's important, because the roof got a new tarp this weekend. Rain actually dripped down over our bed where my father-in-law was sleeping.

What were we thinking?
We looked at the plans with a very critical eye, and realized we need to revisit some major decisions.
We'd like to keep the front porch and front door in the existing location. This means keeping the current living room and not making it a bedroom. This decision alone has really thrown us for a loop, and changes our plans drastically. So it's back to the drawing board, but I think it will be a better home.
Our new plan will add a second bathroom, remodel/expand the kitchen, new roof, new hvac, new windows, and a tankless WH. We'll end up with a 2 bed/2bath home that we can possibly live in for 3 more years.
